Time Travel
By: Aaron Lopez
As I walk out of class,
I run to the lunch tables.
I watch as other classes go as well.
"I am ready to eat!" I always say.
The pleasure of hearing kids laugh
and the enjoyment of
talking to my friends.
I adore those moments.
If I had just warned everyone
on what is to come!
Too bad I can not time travel.
I miss the past.
I miss everything––
––every time I would play
with my friends.
But life betrayed me in my back.
I want what used to be.
I believe that things
will all get better.
