Reality
By: Fatima Hernandez
Out of breath chasing my friends.
Sweat running down my forehead.
Eating while rushing to go play.
My best friend squeezing orange juice
into his mouth.
The screams of kids having fun.
Silence.
What has happened?
Why am I alone?
I look around and see
a lonely figure sitting down.
"You're probably wondering
why you're alone."
They were right.
"Trust me. It's better being alone.
I am you from the future."
This shocked me very much.
"I've come to warn you
and make sure you stay safe
on what's to come."
I felt scared, but I stayed safe
all alone.
