Enter If You Dare!

For Halloween, students ventured into a haunted house on Zoom and wrote about their scary experiences.

We entered a spooky, scary house and saw something in the house. When we entered inside we heard noises. Then we entered a room where there was a bed and a creepy doll. We went upstairs and saw this scary lady. She was dirty and had long hands. We ran out of the house and afterwards we got some treats. —Bryan Lopez

We were walking in Yosemite National Park when suddenly we stumbled across an abandoned house. We heard screams and saw Bryan was gone! Then we went in and up the stairs. Lynette wasn't behind Fatima and we realized she was gone. As we went to investigate some more, we found creepy things like broken stairs and scratched walls. Then Anderson screamed and when we got there, he was gone! We heard footsteps and when went up to the attic, there was a woman that looked creepy. We ran and we got out of the house. We had scars on our faces, but some of us were still alive. Then we saw the woman again and this story continues.—Ervin P.

We had a trick-or-treating to look for a girl named Ever. Her name was so weird. We went to the address they sent. When we got to her house, there was a gate and a key on the floor. We opened the gate to go to the house. Aaron knocked on the door. The door creaked open. When we entered, we yelled, "Hello—anyone home?!" We heard sounds of steps. Then we climbed the steps. In that room we saw a doll. Then we saw a live person who was once dead. We were able to go out the door before it shut closed, but my hand got stuck, and I got my wrist broken. When we got home, we ate treats. And that was the creepiest trip I've ever had. —Annie Oxlaj

We entered the spooky mansion. Once we entered we saw so many crazy things. But at the end we saw a big scary monster that was black with long black nails. —Lynette Hernandez

We went to the cursed address to find Ever. When we went inside, we saw a red door and approached it. We called out Ever's name, but she didn't come. When we went upstairs, there was a tall scary woman. After that, we got some yummy sugary cookies. —Fatima Hernandez

I went to deliver something with my writing group. We went to a haunted house where there was disturbing stuff to our eyes. We first found a rusty gate that creaked. We walked up some bloody-colored stairs and found an old room with a piano. Ever really needs to clean her space. Like how can someone have a house so dirty? But anyway, we found a monster who I took a screenshot of. I could tell the monster was really photogenic. We came out of the house and survived. —Aaron Lopez
